Frequently asked questions
My boards do not sync between my devices.
Check that your devices are signed in to the same iCloud account and that Side Notes is allowed to use iCloud (Settings, your name, then iCloud). After a change, sync can take a few moments, especially on a slow connection.
How do I export a board?
Open the board and tap the share button at the top right: you can export it as a PDF or share it as text.
How do I duplicate or delete a board?
In the list, swipe a board to duplicate or delete it, or long press it for more options.
Where do I change the theme, the color or the text size?
In the app settings, behind the gear at the top of the board list: light or dark appearance, four accent colors, text size and word count.
Do I need an account?
No. Side Notes asks for no email and no password: sync goes through your iCloud account.
Is Side Notes available on Android or Windows?
Not at the moment. Side Notes is available on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Who can read my notes?
Only you: they stay on your devices and in your iCloud. See the privacy policy.
